Job Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining and promoting accuracy of retail store inventory by working and reviewing various inventory reports, conducting on-demand inventory audits, and communicating results with store management.

This role partners with the sales floor, receiving teams, and retail leadership to maintain inventory accuracy, promote replenishment, and sales while mitigating merchandise loss and shrink for the organization.

The Inventory Control Specialist provides customer service support throughout the store, performing various selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance, and direction to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains inventory integrity and accuracy by executing on-demand and prescriptive inventory cycle counts.
  • Conducts empty peg and display integrity scans within departments and completes appropriate inventory adjustments to maintain in-stock levels and replenishment.
  • Investigates and reconciles all inventory variance reports, including negative on-hand reviews, aged in-transit reports, purchase order discrepancies, and other issues.
  • Reviews and distributes price change reports to department leadership and completes inventory reviews and adjustments based on returned reports as needed.
  • Communicates opportunities, issues, and discrepancies with Store Leadership for review and resolution.
  • Provides a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions through identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two years of experience in inventory management or a related field
  • Ability to use System Two, RF/Gizmo devices, and DOMO reporting
  • Ability to generate and analyze inventory reporting
  • Ability to process and organize information
  • Ability to write reports and effectively present information from findings to management
  • Ability to communicate with retail sales floor outfitters and leadership on price changes and inventory accuracy
