Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse II - Pediatric Care Specialist is a professional caregiver who follows the framework of primary nursing and assumes responsibility and accountability for the care and teaching of groups of patients/families for a designated time frame. The Registered Nurse II directs and provides care to these patients utilizing therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and provide care to patients utilizing therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other team members.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for the care and teaching of groups of patients/families for a designated time frame.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and report patient progress to the healthcare team.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current California RN license.
- Current CPR card required.
- PALS & TNCC highly desirable.
- Minimum of six months of experience.
- Previous critical care, emergency pediatrics experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Sit: Up to 3 hours/day.
- Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours.
- Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours.
- Reach: Up to 6 hours.
- Rep use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hours.
- Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs. or over 25# with assistance lbs. with assistance or equipment.
