Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced instructional assistant to support our preschool teachers in providing high-quality education to our young students. The successful candidate will assist in the identification, assessment, and counseling of preschool students and their families, as well as provide instruction to individual or groups of students as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist preschool teachers in class and resource room with coordinated inclusive instructional programs
  • Provide instruction to individual or groups of students as directed
  • Prepare and maintain related records and reports
  • Provide instructional record-keeping support

Requirements

  • Any combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities stated above
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Experience caring for or providing recreational or educational activities for children of the appropriate ages (2-12)
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of a screening for the most qualified candidates, a training and experience evaluation, a written test and/or a performance test, and an oral interview. Qualified applicants must have experience assisting students in a learning environment.
