Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Associate Financial Representative to join our team at Northwestern Mutual. As a key member of our financial services team, you will provide exceptional client service and support to our financial advisors, ensuring seamless execution of administrative tasks and enabling them to focus on building strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to financial advisors, including scheduling appointments, submitting applications, and overseeing daily reports.
  • Handle case notes, process correspondence, and maintain accurate client case files.
  • Obtain necessary information and instructions from financial advisors for PX input, including asset allocation.
  • Open PX files, provide required input, and file new statements, account forms, and other insurance/investment-related materials.
  • Manage financial representative's calendar, schedule follow-up appointments, and answer telephone calls.
  • Process client/prospect reservations for marketing events, prepare seminar materials, and assist in event mailings.
  • Maintain supplies of current insurance/investment-related marketing materials, input data, print proposals, and gather information for client/prospect meetings.
  • Contact clients to set up follow-up meetings, confirm receipt of forms, and request returns of completed forms.
  • Prepare/print letters of instruction for clients' signatures, prepare policies for delivery, and send client birthday cards.
  • Generate lead letters and implement marketing programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Communications (preferred).
  • 2+ years' experience in administrative support or customer service, preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry.
  • Life, Accident, and Health license obtained within 1 month of employment (if not already obtained).
  • Series 6 & 63 obtained within 12 months (if not already obtained).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry/information retrieval software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong customer relationship and service skills, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
What We Offer
  • Starting salary of $55,000 or based on licensing qualifications.
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM.
