Key Responsibilities

Execute all transport functions within the designated area.

  • Accountable for the safe transport of patients to and from diagnostic imaging.
  • Efficiently organize workload during peak times to streamline patient transport and coordinate movement to various modalities.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of wheelchairs and oxygen tanks within the department.
  • Communicate effectively with each modality involved in patient care to minimize the number of trips to different departments.
  • Answer phone calls and provide assistance to patients, physicians, and other staff members as required.
  • Ensure the department remains clean and organized.
  • Foster positive relationships within the department.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
