Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will provide direct patient care to patients with complex medical conditions, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
  • Monitor and record patient conditions, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Instruct and educate patients and family members on health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or valid Compact State License.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia course within 3 months of hire.
  • PCCN, TNCC, and TCAR certifications preferred.
