Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at LCS. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a critical role in preparing and serving meals to our residents, ensuring that their nutritional needs are met and their dining experience is exceptional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.
  • Serve meals in our Memory Care Center, ensuring that residents receive personalized attention and care.
  • Set up and break down tables in the health center dining room, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Transport hot and cold foods to and from the Memory Care Center, ensuring timely delivery and minimal waste.
  • Obtain and stock food and supplies necessary to maintain a well-stocked dining area, adhering to department standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of food inventory and supplies, ensuring that orders are placed in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Previous experience in nursing home food service is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders, and interpret specifications and standards.
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers, requiring empathy for the elderly.
  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
