About the Role

EnerSys Advanced Systems is a leading provider of energy solutions for industrial applications, specializing in aerospace, defense, and medical industries. We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineering analyses on thermal batteries, including conceptual and detailed design, trade-off studies, CAD modeling, and calculations.
  • Perform detailed design and development in areas such as mechanical, chemical, and electrical engineering design functions.
  • Analyze complex thermal battery electrical, thermal, mechanical, and testing requirements.
  • Develop and implement Design Verification, Acceptance, and Qualification Test Plans.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Program Management, Quality, and Production teams to develop technical plans that meet customer requirements.
  • Transform raw test and production data into useful technical information for analysis and to support Engineering Change Orders and Process Change Orders.
  • Communicate technical information to customers through various media, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of Solid Works and Microsoft Office software.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Mathematical skills and working knowledge of engineering mathematics.
  • Logical problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and capabilities, military, industry, and federal standards.
