Job Summary

A Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing a book of business at an independent insurance agency. The ideal candidate will be proficient in agency management software, possess excellent communication skills, and be familiar with comparative raters. Key responsibilities include retaining current clients, writing new business, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the renewal process, obtaining quotes, creating proposals, and preparing applications.
  • Issue auto ID cards and certificates of insurance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance coverages.
  • Provide inside service, including quoting and writing business for new and existing accounts.
  • Take payments from customers and upload to the company website.
  • Handle and oversee account renewals, remarkets, endorsements, billing, and claims.
  • Review accounts for current, accurate coverage and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients.
  • Answer calls, email inquiries, and perform insurance-related functions.
  • Maintain account files and documentation.
  • Prepare and submit policy change requests.
  • Market insurance products.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
  • 3-5+ years of related insurance P&C insurance experience.
  • P&C insurance license.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and EPIC.
