We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at People Incorporated. As a Preschool Teacher in our Infant/Toddler Program, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters positive behavior supports and social interactions among children.
- Child Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Observe and evaluate children's development, keeping records, and communicating progress to parents/guardians through regular reports or conferences.
- Family Engagement: Encourage family involvement in their child's education by facilitating open communication, organizing events, and providing resources to support learning at home.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to remain current on best practices, teaching strategies, and child development research.
- Education and Experience: Knowledge obtained through a combination of education and experience meeting EEC standards; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
- Work Experience: Nine months of work experience in an early education setting, preferred but not required.
- Skills and Abilities: Skill in interacting appropriately with children, clients, and colleagues; ability to meet the EEC minimum hiring requirements for an infant/toddler or preschool teacher.
