About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prevention Health Navigator to join our team at Equitas Health. As a key member of our prevention and education department, you will play a critical role in promoting the health and well-being of individuals at risk of or living with HIV/AIDS.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing high-quality health navigation services, conducting evidence-based HIV prevention interventions, and developing and implementing culturally appropriate marketing materials and campaigns. You will also work closely with local and state HIV prevention planning groups to ensure that our program is meeting its goals and objectives.

The salary for this position is competitive, ranging from $42,500 to $53,100 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality health navigation services to clients, assisting them in accessing medical services, health insurance, and other resources.
  • Conduct evidence-based HIV prevention interventions in accordance with grant and funder guidelines.
  • Develop and implement culturally appropriate marketing materials and campaigns to promote the program's services.
  • Recruit participants through collaboration with DIS, Equitas Health client services, self-referral, physicians, Equitas Health testing sites, health fairs, and other community resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities, including data entry and reporting.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Expertise in working with LGBTQIA+ communities.
  • Strong customer service skills and/or experience.
  • A background in HIV and STI prevention and education is preferred.
  • Experience in community engagement, advocacy, or organizing is preferred.
