Traveling Respiratory Therapist Position

Certification Requirements
  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is mandatory.
  • BLS: Basic Life Support certification is essential.
  • PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is necessary.
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure certification is required for NICU roles.
  • Tech Cert Verification: National certification is required for Registered Respiratory Therapists.
Job Specifications
  • Two supervisory references are required (note: Charge nurses will only count as one reference).
  • Preferred candidates should have approximately two years of relevant experience.
  • Floating between different assignments is expected for most roles.
  • An Ohio State license is required for Registered Respiratory Therapists.
Additional Information
  • An I-9 form is necessary for direct placements.
  • A current government-issued photo ID must be provided within 24-48 hours of contract signing. A temporary driver's license is acceptable to start, but a permanent driver's license must be on file once available.
  • The traveler's legal name must correspond with their RN or allied health license and certifications (nicknames are not permitted).
  • The legal name must be accurately reflected in the NOVA/Connect system.
  • Internal requirements may apply as necessary.
