Principal Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer

At RTX, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing modeling solutions, conducting trade studies, and evaluating system and subsystem performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop high-fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support
* Conduct trade studies and evaluate system and subsystem performance
* Collaborate with Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), Signal Processing, and other department personnel to perform simulation activities
* Work on diverse projects, determine, and develop approaches and solutions, and provide development guidance throughout the product lifecycle from initial concept to fielded product
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree
* Eight (8) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas: experience programming in C, C++, or other high-order language and experience using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets, experience developing or simulating physical systems, academic or work experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for existing or proposed engineering solutions
* Two (2) years experience managing others and interacting with other engineering disciplines
* Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
* Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree
* Leadership experience managing others using applied system engineering principals, experience working on a team and by yourself, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines and developing and presenting technical briefings
* Experience developing signal processing / GNC algorithms or models for missile applications
* Experience with Control Hardware Design and Test, hardware/software integration, modeling physics and physical systems as related to flight dynamics
* Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations and using Software Configuration Management tools
