Senior Principal Modeling and Simulation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our integrated product team, you will be responsible for creating high-fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement modeling solutions, conduct trade studies, and evaluate system and subsystem performance
- Collaborate with Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), Signal Processing, and other department personnel to perform simulation activities
- Work on diverse projects, determine, and develop approaches and solutions, and provide development guidance throughout the product lifecycle from initial concept to fielded product
- Provide technical expertise for the simulation products of a specific program, and assist senior Modeling Engineers in the preparation of detailed plans
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and ten (10) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas:
- Experience programming in C, C++, or other high-order language and experience using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets
- Experience developing or simulating physical systems
- Academic or work experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for existing or proposed engineering solutions
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree
- Leadership experience managing others using applied system engineering principals, experience working on a team and by yourself, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines and developing and presenting technical briefings
- Experience developing signal processing / GNC algorithms or models for missile applications
- Experience with Control Hardware Design and Test, hardware/software integration, modeling physics and physical systems as related to flight dynamics
