Landscape and Horticulture Specialist

Position Summary: The Grounds and Greenhouse Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the outdoor facilities and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. This position encompasses a variety of tasks including the upkeep of the pool and hot tubs, lawn care, and the operation of the farm box. Responsibilities also include the watering, fertilizing, and weeding of various floral arrangements throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and adjust the water levels, temperature, and chemical balance of the pool and hot tubs.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of pool and hot tub areas.
• Maintain daily records of chemical usage for guest safety.
• Grow and harvest vegetables in the farm box for culinary use.
• Restock amenities and manage waste disposal as necessary.
• Oversee the maintenance of grounds surrounding recreational areas.
• Perform mowing and trimming of all lawns across the property.
• Operate irrigation systems to ensure lush green lawns throughout the season.
• Conduct repairs on sprinkler systems and other irrigation equipment as required.
• Prune and shape shrubs, bushes, and trees to enhance landscape aesthetics.
• Assist in the transportation of plants from local suppliers to the property.
• Water and care for all flower arrangements, ensuring their health and vibrancy.
• Fertilize and weed floral displays multiple times weekly.
• Organize and maintain the gardening shed, ensuring tools and supplies are readily available.

Additional Duties: Perform any other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Physical ability to lift and move up to 45 lbs.
• Capability to walk extensive distances across the property.
• Proficiency in operating machinery such as tow trucks, forklifts, and lawn care equipment.
