This position collaborates closely with broader Music teams to foster a culture of excellence and meticulous service when engaging with artists, managers, and teams throughout the lifecycle of a campaign. The role encompasses all facets of production related to VMG's 'For Artist', Affiliate, and Store Front repertoire and release timelines, ensuring effective product setup and milestone management from campaign initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and process raw metadata and assets submitted by clients before they enter supply chain systems.
  • Directly create and submit releases into VMG and UMG digital supply chain systems, adhering to established metadata and asset standards.
  • Become proficient in VMG and UMG style guides and their relevance to delivery systems and DSP requirements.
  • Ensure that submission lead times align with project timelines.
  • Proactively identify technical and operational challenges related to projects and collaborate with clients and internal teams to mitigate risks.
  • Maintain clear communication within the production team and with clients regarding project status, key operational tasks, and resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with production colleagues and leadership to enhance processes that drive results, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Manage client and interdepartmental expectations regarding request feasibility, system capabilities, and standard operating procedures.
  • Advise on the reasonable deployment of special exceptions for maximum impact and minimal risk.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to resolve technical and DSP issues on critical projects.
  • Oversee physical planning, production, and timelines in partnership with clients and relevant internal teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery of physical release components to manufacturing vendors.
  • Act as a knowledgeable stakeholder in ongoing system development and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the catalog migration team on incoming artist catalogs.
  • Provide support for team members and contribute to special projects and broader business initiatives.

Essential Skills:

  • Solid technical and operational expertise in production-related areas.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the music industry, preferably in label management, metadata, or supply chain roles.
  • 1-2 years of experience with label copy.

Strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills are critical for success in this role.
