Job SummaryThe Case Manager will provide initial screening and assessments for all youth admitted to the facility. They will provide individual counseling, facilitate communications with the youth's family and other official personnel involved in the case, and coordinate legal contracts with the court system.
Key Responsibilities- Interview residents and their families to provide limited social work and assist them in adjusting to detention intervention.
- Consult with other agencies, residents, and families regarding current expectations, practices, laws, regulations, and procedures of the Juvenile Justice system.
- Collect and maintain appropriate data from various sources to assist in the development of an individual facility plan for each resident.
- Record social information to develop case histories.
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or other human services field is required.
- Minimum 2-4 years' experience working with juveniles and families.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with variable hours, including day, evening, and weekend availability.
- Knowledge of juvenile justice systems is preferred.
- Must have a current and valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
- Ability to work with economically and culturally diverse populations.
- Skills: Verbal and written communication skills.
- $23.08 - $25.00 hourly, commensurate on experience.
- Schedule is 9AM to 5PM, Tuesday through Saturday (Sunday and Monday off).
