We are expanding our Human Resources division and are looking for a HR Specialist - People Relations to become part of our skilled HR team. The level of this role will be determined by the candidate's qualifications and experience.
This position is accountable for supporting the HR department and the broader business functions. Responsibilities will encompass various HR activities, including but not limited to Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Business Processes & Analytics, and Environmental Health & Safety. The Specialist will work closely with HR colleagues to ensure seamless and effective HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Address employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures
- Assist in the execution of HR programs, such as compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation
- Maintain employee records with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality
- Draft employment contracts, offer letters, and termination documents
- Support the organization of employee engagement initiatives and events
- Generate reports as required
- Stay informed about employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Provide support across various HR functions
Employee Relations Focus
- Facilitate employee relations to foster positive employer-employee interactions and improve organizational effectiveness
- Assist in talent management, training, succession planning, and employee development
- Support managers in addressing job-related, salary, and benefits/payroll inquiries while ensuring accurate reporting
- Oversee the complete staffing process, including identifying staffing needs, managing job postings, conducting interviews, overseeing selection processes, handling AAP administration, and facilitating new hire orientation and onboarding
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in an HR support role or internship is advantageous
- Fundamental understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS software
