About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Mueller Water Products. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for procuring indirect materials, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining a well-balanced inventory level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Negotiation: Responsible for purchasing and negotiating all MRO materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Supplier Communication: Maintain day-to-day communication with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, system data integrity, and ordering parameters for individual materials.
  • Invoice Clearance: Work with finance to clear invoices, resolve any issues, and pay suppliers on time.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Publish monthly information, Excel charts of open past dues, unvouchered invoices, and Tungsten status.
  • Office Maintenance: Oversee the contractor responsible for cleaning, ensure areas are clean, order supplies, and schedule overtime.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Coordinate trash pickups, pick up and distribute daily correspondence, and organize conference rooms for visitors and events.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, perform complex tasks, and understand the dynamics of effective teamwork.
Requirements
