Project Engineer

Holtec International is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join its Site Technical Services group. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation and execution of engineering projects across various services offered by the company.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain technical documents, including engineering change packages, operation and maintenance manuals, design specifications, and procedures.
- Assess equipment functionality and operability to identify design change impacts.
- Support the development and validation of system documentation, including drawings, design descriptions, logic diagrams, process flow calculations, and equipment sizing.
- Collaborate with the design and analysis team to develop conceptual and detailed designs for fabrication of new and modification of existing plant systems and equipment.
- Establish design and quality requirements for equipment used in nuclear power plant systems.
- Prepare licensing basis reviews to support plant modifications and operational activities.
- Work with project management to establish initial project schedules and evaluate impacts to schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop training materials, including qualification procedures, lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, and training videos.
- Implement good engineering practices by researching and applying operating experience and lessons learned.
- Initiate frequent exchanges with team members to resolve open issues, promote a supportive team approach, and address potential risks to project execution.
- Support travel to client sites for design reviews to support construction coordination and field verification of designs.
- Minimum - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or related engineering discipline.
- Ability to travel between company, vendor, and client sites as required.
- Ability to obtain nuclear power plant access as required.
- Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of applied mechanics and heat transfer principles.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.
- Prefer previous nuclear experience, but not required.
- Prefer E.I.T. Certification, but not required.
- U.S. Citizenship
