About the Position

We are seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely delivery of materials, products, and services to our customers. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain receiving, shipping, inventory control, and production work cells by installing, coordinating, and enforcing departmental programs and operational work instructions and procedures.
  • Control scrap, inventory levels, and accuracy by overseeing physical 'cycle counts' and reconciling with perpetual inventory records.
  • Recruit, orient, plan, and train staff, as well as monitor employee performance.
  • Achieve branch financial objectives by minimizing costs, overtime, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and installing 'financial checks and balances.'
  • Assure sales orders are issued, picked, processed, shipped, and invoiced in a timely fashion.
  • Develop vendor evaluation criteria and regularly review vendors for adherence.
  • Maintain warehouse and logistics operations, equipment, capacities, and capabilities by production planning and measurement, routine inspection and repair of in-house machinery and equipment, and the regular review of warehouse layout and throughput.
  • Interact with various customers, vendors, and service providers in the best interest of the company.
Qualifications
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 10 years of equivalent work experience in a service center with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • MSDS experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Solid computer and MS Office skills are a must.
  • Strong organization skills and follow-up skills are very practical.
  • Experience in budget development and management is a plus.
