Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the maintenance of unit supplies and ensure the smooth function of the unit.
  • Collect data on assigned patients and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Perform or assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, vital signs, and meal trays.
  • Prepare patients for transportation and/or transport.
  • Complete and document basic patient care independently.
  • Maintain patient safety as the highest priority level.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of CNA coursework within the past 24 months, or successful completion of Carle's HCT In-Training Program, or work experience as a CNA within the past 24 months, or successful completion of at least one semester of nursing clinical experiences, or documented relevant medical military training.
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.
