Global Director of Quality

Join our team as a Global Director of Quality, responsible for representing the customer and supplier relations related to quality and service. As a key stakeholder, you will manage and supervise Quality Engineers and Quality Supervisors, with a total of up to 25 non-supervisory employees in the Quality Engineering and Reject Repair departments.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement a closed-loop, integrated, warranty analysis system utilizing current levels of technology that provides quick and efficient access to warranty data by all.
- Provide leadership for the analysis team to achieve a high rate of root cause identification in warranty products to reduce the warranty expense and quantity of no trouble found results.
- Review analysis results with customer counterparts to ensure that the root cause ownership is appropriately defined.
- Utilize data obtained from the analysis process to drive improvement actions through the appropriate product team.
- Develop close working relationships with key customer counterparts.
- Responsible for the development and adherence to the policies, procedures, and instructions of the Quality, MMOG, and ISO 14001 systems.
- Committed to a safe and accident-free work environment.
- Product/Model PCP (Process Control Plan) development and maintenance.
- Facilitate cross-functional Preventative & Corrective action plans based on internal and external quality results.
- Mentor cross-functional teams (Process/Product Improvement teams) for effective root cause analysis, and corrective and preventative action.
- Coordination of customer visits.
- QA portion of APQP (PPAP) on product launches.
- Resolving critical issues/situations ensuring that they are handled correctly and within current policy/procedure guidelines.
- Quality representative in Lean activities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, technology, or physical science discipline.
- 5-10 years experience in Tier 1 & Tier 2 Automotive, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Customer/Supplier relationships.
- 3+ years of experience with assembly of complex mechanical assemblies is required.
- 3+ years of Lean manufacturing operational theory, principles, and tools are required.
- 3+ years of experience prioritizing and assigning tasks, and accurately estimating the time and costs required for project completion.
- Experience in creating, developing, adapting, and communicating tool design concepts based on input from internal and external customers using advanced design tools (ACAD) and techniques a plus.
