Position Summary:

We are in search of a Lead Product Strategist with a proven track record in steering product strategy and execution for highly technical offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business requirements, data needs, and the technical landscape of their product, enabling them to formulate product strategies and plans that address the complexities of government healthcare mandates. This role requires substantial Product Management experience and the ability to engage with clients and teams to outline the roadmap, objectives, and features while conducting analysis throughout the Agile lifecycle to maximize value delivery for our clients and end users. Experience in constructing and managing data platforms and leveraging AI/ML and LLM to enhance product and user outcomes is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate the product or team's vision within the context of a specific team, product, or feature set, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals. Contribute actively to the development of the long-term product vision and strategy.
  • Conduct research and independently cultivate subject matter expertise in the data, policies, and operations that underpin the team's initiatives; Develop a comprehensive understanding of user needs, behaviors, and challenges that inform product strategy and decision-making.
  • Engage with Federal clients, end users, and Human-centered Design (HCD) researchers to identify and validate user and business requirements.
  • Comprehend the scope of enabling work and collaborate with System Architects, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Engineers, and others to facilitate product planning and decision-making.
  • Visualize and manage upstream and downstream dependencies effectively.
  • Prepare for and participate in Quarterly (PI) Planning sessions.
  • Develop actionable and value-oriented features and stories, collaborating with the team to define benefit hypotheses and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with the development and testing teams to ensure the successful implementation of system tests.
  • Provide operational, tactical, and strategic insights to achieve program objectives, meet planned deliverables, and enhance user satisfaction; oversee the successful delivery of projects; facilitate Agile ceremonies (including planning, refinement, retrospectives, and standups).
  • Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Maintain proactive and transparent communication across the program and stakeholders to ensure awareness of progress and challenges.
  • Bridge communication between Agile/project teams and key stakeholders by fostering and maintaining relationships.
  • Continuously refine knowledge of emerging themes in broader Medicare policy and data communities.
  • Collaborate with the Group Product Manager on product strategy and strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of product management experience with demonstrated expertise across multiple disciplines, technologies, and processes relevant to the role, along with 5+ years of experience in an Agile environment on complex projects.
  • Experience utilizing AI/ML and LLMs to drive product innovation within data platforms.
  • Strong analytical, research, and innovative thinking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data and metrics to inform decisions, optimize product performance, and implement strategic changes.
  • Ability to make impactful decisions in ambiguous situations, considering long-term implications and organizational objectives.
  • Experience leading collaborative efforts across various teams and functional areas, actively working to dismantle silos for the benefit of the program; Ability to facilitate collaborative workshops that yield results.
  • Proven experience working on large integration systems and executing large-scale projects from inception to implementation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for conveying technical and project-related information to clients, vendors, senior management, and staff.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in software development within an Agile framework and lean process management; capable of interpreting, applying, and enhancing Agile best practices as necessary to drive positive outcomes for the team.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels, including external consultants and vendors, and influence others without formal authority.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product management principles and human-centered design principles.
  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues with a proactive approach.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Slack.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in building and managing data platforms, APIs, and data processing pipelines.
  • SAFe PO/PM certification or experience operating under SAFe principles.
  • Experience delivering projects with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
  • PMP certification or proven experience managing projects to successful completion.

Work Environment:

eSimplicity promotes a remote work culture operating within the Eastern time zone to effectively collaborate with and respond to our government clients. Standard working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by management.

Occasional travel for training and project meetings is anticipated, estimated to be less than 25% per year.
