Location Overview:
Michael Foods, Inc.

is situated in Gaylord, Minnesota, known as Minnesota's Healthy Heartland. Gaylord is conveniently located in south central Minnesota, approximately an hour west of the Twin Cities.

As the County Seat, Gaylord serves as the central hub of Sibley County, where we produce liquid egg, hard-cooked egg, and various precooked egg products including scrambled eggs, patties, and omelets.


Key Responsibilities:

Starting Wage:
$22/Hour plus $2/Hour Shift Differential
Working Hours:
2:30 PM - 11:30 PM (or until production concludes)

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday with alternating Saturdays

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role involves overseeing job assignments and providing support to the precooked line workers and operations within the department.
Train new line workers and operators. This position assists the shift supervisor in managing the Packaging Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to perform all tasks in the area, including oven operation, mixing, line work, doboy, robot, and forklift operation.
Knowledge of product standards is essential.

Monitor product quality and implement changes to ensure the highest standards are met.

Supervise and guide all employees in completing their tasks. Responsible for disassembly and assembly of equipment. Conduct cleaning and sanitation of equipment as required. Identify and rectify any GMP/Safety issues.

Assist with mixing and timelines. Perform minor maintenance tasks. Address employee concerns. May temporarily fill in for Area Supervisor as needed. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is upheld. Report any conditions or practices that may compromise food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
Accountable for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Successful completion of a Powered Industrial Truck training program and passing the forklift certification.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
One to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to other employees of the organization in English.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.

Capable of solving practical problems and addressing a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
