About the Role
Performance Contracting, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in Holliston, MA. As an integral part of our operations, you will provide administrative support to our office, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly union payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment
- Assist with New Hire Orientation and onboarding new union craft workers
- Manage contract administration, including contracts, insurance, billing, and tracking
- Maintain electronic document management systems for project and craft personnel files
- Track certifications, pre-employment requirements, and other essential documents
- Provide administrative support to Branch Manager, Project Managers, and Estimators as needed
- Respond to incoming callers and visitors with excellent customer service skills
- Order office supplies, maintain inventory, and schedule equipment maintenance
- Coordinate branch catering and meeting/event needs
- Attend after-hours branch-sponsored customer alignment events as requested
- Assist with asset tagging and maintaining equipment logs
- Develop and maintain customer relationships
Requirements
- 2-3 years of office administration, HR, payroll, or accounts payable experience
- Bachelor's degree in administration or related discipline, or comparable work experience
- Strong organization skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent oral and written communication capabilities
- Strong customer service skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to seek out additional responsibilities and professional development opportunities
- Ability to work occasional evenings to support after-hours branch events
Preferred Requirements
- Construction industry knowledge or experience
- Experience with payroll and/or employee management, particularly union payroll
- OSHA 10 certification in construction industry
- Certified as a notary public
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Experience in business networking, customer alignment, and/or event planning
- Certified in First Aid/CPR
