About the Role

Performance Contracting, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in Holliston, MA. As an integral part of our operations, you will provide administrative support to our office, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly union payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation and onboarding new union craft workers
  • Manage contract administration, including contracts, insurance, billing, and tracking
  • Maintain electronic document management systems for project and craft personnel files
  • Track certifications, pre-employment requirements, and other essential documents
  • Provide administrative support to Branch Manager, Project Managers, and Estimators as needed
  • Respond to incoming callers and visitors with excellent customer service skills
  • Order office supplies, maintain inventory, and schedule equipment maintenance
  • Coordinate branch catering and meeting/event needs
  • Attend after-hours branch-sponsored customer alignment events as requested
  • Assist with asset tagging and maintaining equipment logs
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of office administration, HR, payroll, or accounts payable experience
  • Bachelor's degree in administration or related discipline, or comparable work experience
  • Strong organization skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication capabilities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to seek out additional responsibilities and professional development opportunities
  • Ability to work occasional evenings to support after-hours branch events

Preferred Requirements

  • Construction industry knowledge or experience
  • Experience with payroll and/or employee management, particularly union payroll
  • OSHA 10 certification in construction industry
  • Certified as a notary public
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Experience in business networking, customer alignment, and/or event planning
  • Certified in First Aid/CPR
