Drilling and Blasting Engineer Specialist

As a Drilling and Blasting Engineer Specialist at Career Crunch, you will be responsible for designing blast patterns, assisting with timing and loading of blasts, and monitoring drilling and blasting activities. You will also assist with managing and overseeing blasting contractors, organize and inform stakeholders on drill and blast design and execution, and ensure all employees and contractors are working in a safe manner.
Requirements- Bachelor's of Science degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent, with a minor in Explosives Engineering an asset.
- Basic understanding and experience with 3D modeling and mine planning software, Deswik preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization in both written and verbal means.
- Ability to work in the US and obtain blaster certification in the state of New York if required.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
