About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Credentialing Specialist to join our team at Lighthouse Psychiatry Brain Health Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the credentialing process for our clinicians, ensuring seamless communication with insurance companies, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the credentialing process for our clinicians, including drafting and submitting applications, communicating with insurance companies, and negotiating reimbursement rates.
  • Update CAQH and submit supporting documents as required.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, and obtain referrals and authorizations from insurance companies.
  • Follow up on unpaid and denied claims, and submit appeals as necessary.
  • Audit payment, accounting, and account inconsistencies or errors, and collaborate with patients, insurance companies, and team members to resolve billing issues.
  • Provide new and ongoing training supports to new and existing staff members, and contribute to a positive work environment and positive rapport with patients, staff, and providers.
Requirements
  • Some college or trade school education in a relevant field.
  • Certification in Medical Billing Services and Medical Coding (preferred).
  • Two or more years of experience with credentialing, preferably in the medical environment and facility.
  • Working knowledge of the credentialing process, insurance credentialing requirements, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
