Job Summary:

The Sleep Technology Specialist performs specialized neurodiagnostic procedures such as polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency tests, and titration of continuous positive airway pressure or bi-level positive airway pressure. This role requires the ability to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of neurological and pulmonary function during sleep and be able to provide diagnostic information to support patient care.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited polysomnography program
Valid and active Registered Polysomnography Technologist licensure in the appropriate state
American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
Registered sleep technologist certification through the Board of Registered Polysomn Technologists or the American Board of Sleep Medicine

Work Requirements:

Nights
No on-call requirements
Rotating weekends
No travel required
Located at Smyth County Community Hospital
