The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our corporate facilities. This position oversees all aspects of building functions, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. The ideal candidate will have excellent multitasking and organizational skills, with a strong background in corporate facilities management.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain approximately 100,000 sq. ft. of corporate office space across two locations in Atlanta, Georgia, and Birmingham, Alabama.
- Oversee day-to-day property and building maintenance, including vendor relations and invoice management.
- Manage building access systems, including employee access records and electronic access devices.
- Ensure the interior and exterior of office buildings are properly maintained, including regular inspections and maintenance scheduling.
- Coordinate internal office moves and oversee construction and remodel projects.
- Respond to building emergencies during business hours and after hours as needed.
- Supervise facilities maintenance personnel and manage outsourced copy and mailroom services.
- Maintain major office equipment, including scheduling service calls and negotiating rental contracts.
- Oversee office supply inventory and develop cost reduction programs with the financial officer.
- Manage building security protocols and external vendors.
- Facilitate fire and safety drills and oversee corporate facilities annual budgets.
- Manage the firm's off-site records repository and associated systems.
- Three to five years of on-site facilities management experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build good working relationships with staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Physical ability to perform regular building inspections and maintenance tasks.
