Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our North Baltimore, Ohio plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing daily and weekly work plans, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources to maximize benefits to the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Prioritize tasks and allocate resources to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Establish and maintain high standards for safety, craftsmanship, and skill levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruptions to facility operations.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of ongoing jobs through regular inspections and secondhand reports.
- Provide regular updates to management on maintenance department performance and challenges.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed on time, within budget, and safely.
- Mentor maintenance teams to ensure work is done correctly and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
- Identify opportunities for business process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency.
- Delegate urgent or unplanned tasks to team members and ensure their safe and effective completion.
- Apply a strong understanding of hydraulics to maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems and equipment.
- Exhibit ethical behavior and judgment, avoiding conflicts of interest.
- Ensure all team members follow safe work practices and are properly trained in company policies.
- Timely completion and implementation of projects.
- Achieve goals and objectives relating to cost and timing.
- Achieve project expectations and requirements for all elements of PPAP, QS9000, and other product launch elements.
- Overall housekeeping of maintenance and production areas.
- Efficient supply and distribution of utilities, including water, steam, electricity, natural gas, compressed air, and waste disposal.
- Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical technology, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of related experience, including supervisor experience in the maintenance area.
