Job Title: Creeler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Creeler to join our team at Mannington Mills. As a Creeler, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to machines that wind or twist textiles, as well as drawing out and combining sliver, such as wool, hemp, or synthetic fibers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machine Operation: Start machines, monitor operation, and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Product Inspection: Inspect products to verify that they meet specifications and to determine whether machine adjustment is needed.
  • Yarn Processing: Tend machines that twist together two or more strands of yarn or insert additional twists into single strands of yarn to increase strength, smoothness, and/or uniformity of yarn.
  • Supply Management: Replace depleted supply packages with full packages and ensure that materials are properly loaded and unloaded into machinery.
  • Quality Control: Monitor production machinery/equipment operation to detect problems and maintain consistent production quality.
Work Environment:

As a Creeler, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to hazardous equipment and potentially distracting or uncomfortable noise levels.
