About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to lead our PhD programs at the Khoury College of Arts, Media and Design. As a strategic leader, you will partner with the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs to grow and manage our PhD programs, providing support to all PhD students and planning and implementing enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management and Organization of PhD Programs: Plan, manage, and direct PhD program operations, including managing RA/TA assignments and cultivating a vibrant PhD student community.
  • Student Affairs: Develop and administer academic programming for PhD programs, oversee student assessment, and provide academic support to cohorts of students.
  • Recruitment and Enrollment Management: Recruit students to the PhD program, coordinate with department leadership and other relevant University partners, and design and implement recruitment plans for domestic and global initiatives.
  • Program Development: Coordinate PhD course offerings, manage core CAMD PhD courses, and ensure training for PhD students for TAs.
  • Research Development: Oversee and improve student research activities, assist with developing and evaluating student research initiatives and opportunities, and manage RA opportunities for students.
  • Graduate Programs Data Analysis and Insight: Monitor recruitment progress, enrollments, course hours, and other key metrics for the College of Arts, Media and Design graduate programs.
Requirements

Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and program management skills. A PhD degree, postdoctoral or similar research experience, and/or three to five years professional experience in a University setting with student affairs, admissions, and/or faculty relations required.
