Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at I-Grace, a high-end construction and professional services company. As a Laborer, you will perform a variety of construction-related tasks, including general cleaning and site preparation, protection, debris and trash removal, and providing on-site assistance as requested.

Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation and Protection: Install and maintain protection on job sites and in occupied luxury residences.
  • On-Site Assistance: Move furniture, change light bulbs, and perform similar tasks as directed.
  • Job Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and orderly job site for the entire duration of a project.
  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of tools and equipment on-site.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute materials as instructed.
  • Debris and Trash Removal: Remove on-site debris and trash, load dumpsters, and move materials on-site.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep and/or mop all areas as needed.
  • Demolition and Labor: Perform basic demolition and other general labor tasks.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist carpenters and other trades on site as directed.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members via various technologies, phone, email, etc.
  • Site Management: Monitor subcontractors and control site access/activities.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Luxury Residences: Must be familiar with operating in occupied finished and furnished luxury residences.
  • Protection Methodologies: Experience with deployment and application of various protection methodologies specific to luxury residences.
  • Trade Knowledge: Familiarity of duties of other trades and their materials, tools, and machinery preferred.
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA 30 Hour preferred; OSHA 10 Hour required.
  • Specialized Training: 4 Hour Supported Scaffold and Asbestos/Mold/Lead/Silica Awareness.
Compensation and Work Environment

Hourly compensation is commensurate with experience and could range from $20-$25 per hour. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
