You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Systems Engineering, Real-time & Embedded Software, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Testing, within an Agile software development framework.
Key Responsibilities include:
Support program objectives by applying software engineering principles throughout the Software Development Lifecycle
Engage and collaborate directly with software development and other engineering teams to formulate, document, and execute software requirement verification and integration tests, including identifying and resolving issues
Facilitate software integration with hardware components in systems integration labs and other testing environments
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle activities and the Agile process for critical mission system software products
Contribute to an Agile scrum team to implement and automate infrastructure maintenance and user services
Utilize software development expertise to design, code, and execute automation tests: integration and regression
Conduct detailed design, coding, and testing of requirements at the domain level while supporting system and operational testing
Analyze software and system requirements assigned to computer software configuration items (CSCI)
Create, design, maintain, and enhance infrastructures to support automation
Assist in tool development to streamline current processes and foster a continuous test integration environment
Collaborate with the team to swiftly devise innovative solutions to complex challenges
Ensure comprehensive, clear, and precise documentation is generated and maintained to support ongoing and future integration activities
Submit detailed problem reports for any discrepancies identified during testing
This position can be filled at a level 1 or 2.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate Engineer
Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 0 years of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Some experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C/C++
Some experience with Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and Object-oriented Programming (OOP)
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
DoD Top Secret clearance at time of application, SAP/ SCI eligible
Engineer
Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 2 years of experience; or a Master's Degree. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of personnel and management
Experience in the complete software development lifecycle
Familiarity with Agile Software methodologies - Scrum, Kanban, etc.
Demonstrated understanding of application and embedded software integration procedures
Proven experience with software test automation across multiple requirement levels
Experience with at least one of the following automated test frameworks: Cucumber, Google Test, TestComplete, AQT, Atlas, EggPlant, Unit Test Factory, RTCF, ATF
Cloud and container experience (e.g., troubleshooting Docker or Kubernetes deployed software)
Advanced understanding of application and embedded software integration procedures
Familiarity with software network interfaces
Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA
Active, current Security+ certification
Experience with scripting languages to support software integration, debugging, and maintenance

$65,600 - $98,400
Salary Range 2:
$79,300 - $118,900
