Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Prevention Collaboration Specialist to join our team at Seven Counties Services. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in promoting community collaboration and prevention efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys of coalitions and organizations providing prevention services focused on substance use and related consequences.
  • Conduct surveys of technical assistance needs of coalitions and organizations providing prevention services focused on substance use and related consequences.
  • Support the implementation of a network analysis at the community level to determine key stakeholders who broker engagement at the community level for substance use prevention and related consequences.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement a statewide expansion of a current or newly conceived substance use prevention project.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement delivery of training to coalitions and other prevention-service providing organizations focused on substance use and related consequences.
  • Provide technical assistance to prevention-service providing coalitions and organizations on the best practice of collaboration for sustainability of efforts.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure alignment of collaboration efforts with needs-assessment driven work plans.
  • Support the collection of community-level needs assessment data through evaluation activities such as focus groups, interviews, and environmental scans.
  • Enter all service data into the Prevention Data System.
  • Support other RPC staff as needed to integrate new partnerships into prevention activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other collaboration prevention specialists across the state to leverage resources.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the statewide SOR team to leverage resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a human services field (e.g., Addiction, Behavioral Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Public Health, Sociology, Education). Master's degree in prevention-related field preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable means of transportation for job-related use required.
  • Ability to apply for a Certified Prevention Specialist certification within two years of hire.
  • Two years+ of experience working in a human services field.
  • Knowledge of chemical dependency and prevention issues, including early detection strategies.
Physical Demands/Requirements
  • Position requires lifting 20 pounds maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of items weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Moderate-to-heavy travel with exposure to weather elements and potential travel hazards.
  • Employment may require performing tasks on an unplanned or occasional basis that involve exposure to blood or body fluids or tissue.
  • Reliable transportation for frequent regional travel.
