Job Summary

Bridgewell is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 2 to join our team in a residential program setting. As a key member of our team, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities, helping them to develop skills and foster independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Create opportunities for individuals to make decisions and develop their skills, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Provide services to individuals according to regulatory standards, including DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, and CARF, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  • Support individuals with all medical, clinical, and financial needs, including transportation to medical appointments and activities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of individual progress and services provided, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to write clear and articulate reports and documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with ability to drive a vehicle and meet agency driving record requirements.
