Sleep Medicine and Pulmonology Specialist

Prosser Memorial Health is in search of a board-certified or eligible specialist in Sleep Medicine and Pulmonology to establish and deliver both inpatient and outpatient pulmonary services to the local community. The role involves addressing respiratory disorders, severe allergies, and various lung-related conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with patients to assess their symptoms and health issues.
- Identifying and managing conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.
- Administering and interpreting pulmonary examinations and tests to assist in diagnosing cardiopulmonary diseases, including CT scans, chest fluoroscopies, ultrasounds, and bronchoscopies.
- Conducting specialized procedures to obtain samples from the chest wall lining or lungs for further evaluation.
- Offering immunizations against preventable respiratory diseases.
- Providing guidance and support to patients undergoing long-term treatment.
- Staying informed about advancements in testing and the development of new therapeutic medications and techniques.
- Contributing to the cardiopulmonary department's initiatives in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Function Testing, Intensive Care Unit services, and the development of innovative treatments or procedures.
- Delivering educational support to the cardiopulmonary department staff in the field of pulmonology.
- Assisting in the formulation of mechanical ventilation policies and protocols.
- Leading and supporting the cardiopulmonary Quality Assurance, Safety, and compliance with departmental regulations.

- Structured 4-day work week.
