Prosser Memorial Health is actively seeking a qualified and board-certified or eligible specialist in Sleep Medicine and Pulmonology to establish and deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to our community. Our focus is on addressing respiratory disorders, severe allergies, and various lung-related conditions. As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to enhancing the health and well-being of the populations we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with patients to assess their symptoms and health issues.
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.
- Utilize and interpret pulmonary examinations and diagnostic tests to identify cardiopulmonary diseases, including CT scans, chest fluoroscopies, ultrasounds, and bronchoscopies.
- Conduct specialized procedures to obtain samples from the chest wall or lungs for diagnostic purposes.
- Administer immunizations to prevent cardiopulmonary diseases.
- Offer guidance and support to patients requiring long-term care.
- Stay informed about advancements in testing, medications, and treatment methodologies.
- Contribute to the cardiopulmonary department in areas such as Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Function Testing, and the Intensive Care Unit.
- Provide educational resources and support to the cardiopulmonary department staff in pulmonology.
- Assist in formulating policies and protocols for mechanical ventilation.
- Lead initiatives in Quality Assurance, Safety, and regulatory compliance within the cardiopulmonary department.
