Sleep Medicine and Pulmonology Specialist

Prosser Memorial Health is in search of a board-certified or eligible physician specializing in Sleep Medicine and Pulmonology to initiate and deliver both inpatient and outpatient pulmonary services to our community. Our organization is committed to addressing breathing disorders, severe allergies, and various lung conditions and diseases, with a strong focus on community health and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with patients to assess their symptoms and health issues.
- Identifying and managing conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.
- Administering and interpreting pulmonary examinations and tests to assist in diagnosing cardiopulmonary diseases, including CT scans, chest fluoroscopies, ultrasounds, and bronchoscopies.
- Conducting specialized procedures to collect samples from the chest wall lining or lungs for diagnostic purposes.
- Offering immunizations to prevent cardiopulmonary diseases.
- Providing guidance and support to patients undergoing long-term care.
- Staying informed about advancements in testing and new treatment methodologies.
- Assisting the cardiopulmonary department with Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Function Testing, and the development of new treatments or procedures.
- Delivering educational support to cardiopulmonary department staff in the field of pulmonology.
- Contributing to the formulation of mechanical ventilation policies and protocols.
- Leading and supporting quality assurance, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives within the cardiopulmonary department.
