Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Coder II to join our team at the University of Rochester. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for accurately coding medical records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coding medical records using ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
  • Ensuring accurate and timely coding to meet regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to resolve coding discrepancies
  • Providing education and training to staff on coding best practices

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in health information technology or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in medical coding

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
