Job Title: Digital Content Operations Director

Join the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as a Digital Content Operations Director, where you will oversee the operations of our digital strategy and social media portfolio.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced strategist to manage the packaging of content to our audiences across a multichannel environment. This role will also support the Chief Digital Communications Officer to measure the effectiveness of content efforts and make recommendations to maximize audience engagement and enhance our organization's enterprise-wide content strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of digital communications staff.
  • Optimize our content communication across social media, and other digital channels to enhance member engagement.
  • Support the evolution of a digital strategy throughout the association with a focus on workflow, use of AI, key performance measurements, and adherence to our brand and taxonomy.
  • Use data and key performance indicators to measure the value of our content for members and make content strategy recommendations.
  • Contribute to an enterprise-wide content calendar with the goal of reducing organizational silos and finding opportunities for interdepartmental collaboration on content and channels.
  • Educate and support ASHA staff in content planning, retaining, and retirement of existing content.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years in digital communications focusing on content development and management.
  • Experience in an association or not-for-profit environment.
  • B.A. / B.S. in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or similar major.
  • Experience contributing to the development and/or evolution of a content strategy across a multichannel environment.
  • Experience using Workfront or similar communications project management software.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Google Analytics (and knowledge of GA4), for compiling and analyzing content performance insights.
  • Experience with content management systems (such as Optimizely or other similar CMS).
  • Experience with production platforms such as Brandwatch, Sprout, or similar social media platforms.
  • Experience with emerging AI environments and platforms.
  • Experience with Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated track record of staying up to date on industry trends and emerging digital strategies and products.
