Vice President, Business Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Business Operations to join our team at Mastercard. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Site Reliability Engineers and Support Technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of our business operations functions, including day-to-day platform availability, Tier 1, 2 & 3 support, defect resolutions, CI/CD pipelines, customer integrations, platform automation, safety and soundness activities, monitoring/alerting maturity and RUN WELL standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers and Support Technicians to ensure the smooth operation of business operations functions.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve platform availability, reduce downtime, and enhance overall system health.
- Collaborate with developers to design, build, implement, and support technology services.
- Ensure operational criteria like system availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, self-healing, and deployment automation are implemented throughout the delivery process.
- Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and build relationships.
- Develop and maintain site reliability overall.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience, within Security and/or Enterprise Monitoring Context, REQUIRED.
- Experience working through others to solve complex business problems and effect change.
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
- Ability to challenge current practices to promote efficiencies and deliver positive results.
- Experience in dealing with difficult situations and making decisions with a sense of urgency.
- Interest in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong project management skills and success in managing large-scale cross-functional teams.
