We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center. As a key member of our cardiopulmonary department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients with cardiopulmonary conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Administer respiratory care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.
- Perform diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders.
- Collaborate with the patient/family, systematically and continually assess the patient's health, and demonstrate appropriate application of age-specific standards, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in the development of patient plans of care, including patient problems, cultural needs, goals, evaluations, and interventions.
- Teach patients and families about respiratory care and disease management, and provide education and support to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Current licensure in the state of Tennessee as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- 2 years of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a critical care setting.
