Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care in our respiratory department. As a key member of the patient care team, you will perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation, and provide oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patient response to therapy and notify providers as necessary.
  • Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner certification.
