Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapy Specialist performs therapeutic radiation procedures to assist in the treatment of cancer and other patients. This role requires age-specific knowledge and skills to ensure accurate placement of custom blocking devices and subsequent alignment with marked patient anatomy.

Key responsibilities include identifying and resolving treatment-related problems, assisting the treatment team, and promoting professional relationships with colleagues. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology Program, as well as two years of professional experience.

Key Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of radiation therapy principles and practices
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English with professional quality
  • Proficiency in computer software programs necessary for the position
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
Licensures and Certifications:

The successful candidate will hold a National American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy, a California State Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification in Radiation Therapy, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
