Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapy Specialist Two (2) performs age-specific therapeutic radiation procedures as ordered by a physician to assist in the treatment of cancer and other patients. This role requires identifying and resolving treatment-related problems using available resources, assisting other members of the treatment team, and promoting professional relationships with colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology Program, as well as two years of professional experience. Strong knowledge of accurate placement of custom blocking devices and subsequent alignment with marked patient anatomy is essential. Additionally, the ability to read, write legibly, and speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform therapeutic radiation procedures as ordered by a physician
  • Identify and resolve treatment-related problems using available resources
  • Assist other members of the treatment team
  • Promote professional relationships with colleagues
  • Perform other duties as needed
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology Program
  • Two years of professional experience

Licensures and Certifications:

National American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy required, California State Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Radiation Therapy required, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
