Division Director, Renal Medicine

Emory University is seeking a visionary Division Director to lead the Renal Medicine Division, a regional and national academic and clinical unit. As a key member of the Department of Medicine, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in all clinical, educational, and research endeavors within the division.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership
- Provide senior leadership to the division, modeling standards for exemplary patient care, research, and education.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the division's academic reputation and improve quality of care.
- Lead the faculty and staff of the division, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Management
- Oversee the recruitment, retention, and development of a diverse faculty and staff.
- Manage the division's budget and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with institutional and external regulations.
- Mission Performance
- Advocate for Emory University's multiple missions and commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Encourage the growth and success of research initiatives within the division and department.
- Develop and implement programs to enhance the division's academic reputation and improve quality of care.
- Personal and Interpersonal
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and teamwork within the division.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Communicate effectively and transparently with all stakeholders.
- MD or MD/PhD degree.
- Board-certified physician and nationally recognized renal researcher and clinician.
- Progressive administrative experience, preferably in an academic medical center setting.
- Solid track record of sponsored research as a scientist and principal investigator.
