JOB SUMMARY

Wood is seeking a Project Controls Manager to oversee cost management, planning, scheduling, and risk evaluation for various project teams and clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive project control systems, tools, and interfaces to facilitate effective management and reporting of project costs, timelines, and risks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients and contractor Project Controllers to ensure accurate reporting of costs and progress, aligning with project reporting standards.
  • Guide and mentor project personnel in the application of 4D/5D methodologies for Project Controls.
  • Coordinate the creation of project Navisworks models for 4D/5D simulations to enhance project phasing and coordination on large-scale initiatives.
  • Track overall project progress, assessing the achievement of key milestones and analyzing performance against established plans.
  • Manage essential communication channels for delivering cost, planning, scheduling, and risk management services.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports detailing project cost and planning status.
  • Implement the project Work Breakdown Structure for designated scopes of work.
  • Establish cost and planning control frameworks in accordance with the project Work Breakdown Structure.

This is a full-time position, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Multiple openings are available.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
International travel may be necessary up to 10%; domestic travel may be required up to 25%.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline is required, along with 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the role or a similar position.

Of the required experience, candidates must possess 7 years in each of the following areas:
  • Staffing, managing, supervising, training, and developing a project controls team;
  • Engineering, procurement, and construction execution;
  • Proficiency in Primavera Project Management (Oracle P6).
Additionally, candidates must have 5 years of experience in:
  • Risk Analysis utilizing software such as Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Risk, and @Risk;
  • Project Control Systems and Techniques, Engineering Processes, Safety and Environmental Management, Human Relations Principles, and Total Quality Management.
Furthermore, candidates should have 4 years of experience in:
  • NavisWorks, Synchro 4D/5D, ePC Works software, AutoCAD 2D/3D, Pertmaster MS Excel, and MS Visio;
  • Management of contracts, budgeting, cost control, planning, scheduling, and change management.
