Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive WIC nutrition assessments to determine nutritional risk and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to WIC participants, including breastfeeding support and referrals to community resources.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement nutrition and breastfeeding promotion and support programs to meet local agency goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and best practices to inform program development and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition, community nutrition, nutrition education, or nutritional sciences from an accredited institution.
  • At least one year of experience in public or community health, preferably in nutrition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
